Infusion KPI Review

A Claude skill for the monthly numbers review at an infusion center. It agrees each KPI definition with you, computes it from de-identified or aggregate exports, and explains what moved.

Runs in your own Claude account

What it does

  1. 1Reminds you to share only de-identified or aggregate exports, with no patient names or other identifying details.
  2. 2Agrees the formula, grain and clock for chair utilization, no-show rate, referral to first treatment, referral conversion and claim denial rate.
  3. 3Checks each export for its grain and date, and that referral KPIs start from orders rather than appointments.
  4. 4Computes each KPI, rolls sites up by adding numerators and denominators, and marks recent months that are not final.
  5. 5Compares each KPI with prior months, checks for data changes before calling a move real, and names the cut that would confirm the cause.

What it needs

  • De-identified or aggregate exports: appointments, orders, completed administrations, and remittance or denial reports.
  • Staffed chairs and open hours for each site.
  • Your rules for no-show statuses, the referral follow-up window, and whether denials are counted by claim, line or dollars.

Prompts to try

  • “Here are October's aggregate appointment and referral counts by site. Review our monthly KPIs.”
  • “Our no-show rate jumped this month. Here is the de-identified appointment export. What changed?”
  • “Check how we calculate claim denial rate from this remittance summary and recompute it by payer.”

What you get back: A KPI table with this month, prior month and change, the definitions used, a short note on what moved and why, and any data issues to fix before the next review.

Common questions

Can I upload a report with patient names?

No. Use de-identified or aggregate exports only. If a file with identifying details is shared, the skill stops, does not repeat the values, and asks for a version without them.

Which chair utilization does it use?

Completed infusions only: completed visits times door-to-door chair time. Booked appointments that never happened are left out, so the number shows how much the chairs were really used.

Does it compare our numbers with industry benchmarks?

No. Published infusion benchmarks are rarely defined the same way. The skill compares the center with its own prior months and helps set a baseline.

Why is the latest month marked provisional?

Referrals in the latest month are still inside their follow-up window, and claims may not have a first adjudication yet, so conversion and denial rates for that month will still move.
